Terwijl schizofrenie volgens de mening zelf van de specialisten in menswetenschappen de opstandigste geestesziekte aan elke vorm van psychotherapeutische behandeling blijft, er bestaan gelukkig tegenvoorbeelden. Het beroemdst werd gedragen ter attentie van een breed publiek in jaren 70 door de aanpassing aan de bioscoop van het geval van Renée die 20 jaren daarvor door Mevrouw Sechehaye behandelt werd.

Whereas schizophrenia remains in the very spirit of the specialists in social sciences the most rebellious mental illness to any form in psychotherapy treatment, there are fortunately counterexamples. The most famous one was carried to the attention of a large public in the Seventies by the adaptation to the cinema of Renee's case which had been treated by Mrs. Sechehaye twenty years before.

Omwille van de talrijke uitgaves en heruitgaves die sindsdien dit verhaal, het dagboek van een schizofreen meisje, bekend hebben gemaakt in alle domeinen die de psychiatrie betreffen (ziekenhuizen, onderzoekcentrum, universiteiten...) in Frankrijk zoals in het buitenland, is het hoogste tijd om een beroep te doen op het volle potentieel van het netwerk om een platform van hergroepering en uitwisseling aan te bieden aan al degenen die vandaag nog - en zij zijn talrijk - deze weg naar onderzoek voortzetten.
Een deel van de website is dus gelijktijdig toegankelijk voor het franstalige, het engelstalige, het Italiaanse, het Duitse, het Spaanse evenals het Russische publiek: de presentatie van het geval van Renee, de presentatie van het geval van Laura, de presentatie van de Italiaanse film van Nelo Risi die in 1968 werd geproduceerd, en het ter beschikking gestelde laboratorium van de studenten, van de onderzoekers, en van de universiteits professoren om informaties uit te wisselen en om zich te informeren over hun activiteiten in afwachting van de oprichting van een forum over de fundamentale vragen.

Because of the many editions and reeditions which since then have made this story known under the title of The Autobiography of a schizophrenic girl in all the sectors concerning psychiatry (hospitals, research centers, universities...) as much in France as abroad, the moment has come to the full potentialities of the network to offer a platform of regrouping and communications to all those which, still today and they are numerous proceeds in this way of research. A part of the site is thus simultaneously accessible to the french-speaking and anglophone public: the presen- tation of Renee's case, the presentation of Laura's case, the presentation of the Italian film of Nelo Rizi produced in 1968, and the laboratory placed at the disposal of the students, of the researches, the teachers of universities, to exchange information and inform about their activities while perhaps waiting for the creation of a forum on basic questions.
